16/02/07 - Hurricanes no match for Hellenic

A third straight defeat, this time to Hellenic means UHFC slip to 6th in the league. A 6-2 loss saw goals from Dan Marshall, and the first for Tom Pegg.
11/02/07 - Debut for Pegg

Pro Evo were too good for the Ultimate Hurricanes in the game that saw Tom Pegg make his long awaited debut. The game ended 4-1, with Dan Marshall getting the goal for the Hurricanes

04/02/07 - 3rd defeat of the season

Friday saw a full strength Hurricanes squad lose 2-0 to Gatekeepers, despite piling on the pressure in the second half. A lack of concentration at the back at 2 critical points was enough to see them go down.

17/01/07 - Medler swoops in January transfer window

In his first mid-season deal, Neil Medler snapped up the highly rated defender Tom Pegg. Pegg has long expressed his desire to play for the Ultimate Hurricanes and was quoted to say "January 16th will long stay in my mind - The day i sealed my dream of pulling on the famous shirt". He is expected to be drafted straight into the team for their next fixture.

17/01/07 - Another victory despite AWOL 'keeper

Yesterday, the Ultimate Hurricanes came up against 3 Lions & Irish. UHFC eased into a 3-0 lead, but almost let it slip, eventually seeing them off 4-3 after a last gasp winner from O'Gorman. See Match Reports for further details.

10/12/06 - Second defeat of the season

Friday saw the Hurricanes crash to a scathing 5-1 defeat at the hands of Team With No Name. Matt O'Gorman got the only for UHFC, to tie the game at 1-1, only for the defence to leak a further 4. See Match Reports for further details.

02/12/06 - Shaftesbury well and truly shafted!

The Ultimate Hurricanes bounced back in emphatic style after their deflating defeat on Tuesday to thump Shaftesbury 9-0. See Match Reports for further details. The next game is UHFC vs. 3 Lions & Irish on Tuesday 5th @ 12pm, (subject to confirmation). We will wear BLUE (get your £5 Brazil shirts from JJB if you haven't already).

28/11/06 - First defeat of the season

THe Ultimate Hurricanes could not see out a 2-0 lead, eventually going down 3-2 to Cheeky Monkeys. Special mention for Lenny Harris, who kept a clean sheet for over 100mins. England's no.1!! See Match Reports for further details

24/11/06 - Record victory for UHFC

The second game in 2 days ended up in a resounding 7-0 victory against Finance. Goals came from Medler (2), O'Gorman (2), Stewart and a ringer (2). See Match Reports for further details. The next game sees a head-to-head between UHFC & Cheeky Monkeys on Tuesday 28th @ 1pm. We will wear RED.

23/11/06 - New season kicks off with a hard earnt point

Today saw the Ultimate Hurricanes' first game of the season end 0-0 with BPS. There were chances at either end, with both teams hitting the woodwork, but the deadlock was never broken. See Match Reports for the full details

20/11/06 - First game details

After Brunel decided to double book the 3G, we have had to change the date of out first game. We will be playing BPS on THURSDAY 23rd Nov @ 12pm. We will wear WHITE.

16/11/06 - Training & Fixtures are out

This afternoon saw the first training session of the new Ultimate Hurricanes squad for the 2006/07 season. The training session passed with no injuries and the new signings looked impressive. In other news, this season's fixture list has been released, with 2 games per week. It can be found on the Fixtures/Results page.

15/11/06 - 1,000 hits!!!

The website today (Wednesday) reached 1,000 hits. It's nice to see that the reformation of the Hurricanes has captured the public's imagination. Here's to the next 1,000!

14/11/06 - Hurricanes ready to blow away the competition

Today, the reformation of the Ultimate Hurricanes was confirmed in the world press, with the registration documents being proudly handed over to the Activities dept of Brunel SU. New player/manager, Neil Medler, said "Today is a proud day for the players, officials and fans of UHFC. We live to fight another day, and have assembled a squad for this season that I think will give the best teams in the league a run for their money."

To find out exactly who will be playing for the Hurricanes, there will be an open training session @ the Brunel Astro on Thursday 16th Nov at 11am - 1pm, with an autograph session from 1 - 1:30pm.

09/03/05 - Hurricanes march on

The Hurricanes recieved the news last week that they have been awarded a bye into round 2 of the knockout stages after Economagic could not field a team for the 1st round game. With deadlines looming, the game had to be played sooner rather than later but in the end the tie was never played and a win awarded to UHFC.
The second round sees the Hurricanes playing their league 2 rivals the OC who convincingly won their league encounter 8-0. On that day, the Hurricanes were short of players and played a reserve 'keeper. This week Day has almost a full strength squad to choose from. Fox and Garavand may be available after time off recovering, and Green could make his long awaited return to first team action. The only question mark being about whether Luke is available. Be sure to shown the Hurricanes your support.

Next game: Vs. The OC, Thursday 10th March, KO - 5pm

28/02/05 - Knockout stages get underway

The Knockout stages have FINALLY been sorted after the Hurricanes turning up on Friday to play the White Strikes, only to be told that the league has finished and there are knockout games to play. Obviously, the man in charge is out of his depth just sending out fixture details to managers (and when was the last time the league tables have been updated?).
Anyway, the Hurricanes have been sheduled to play Economagic of League 1. The first round games were due to be played last week, but due to bad organisation, we face having to play both round 1 and 2 games this week, should we get through. The winners of round 1 will play the OC. In our only previous meeting with them, we lost convincingly 8-0. With a full strength squad, we look to improve that result.

Next game: Vs. Economagic, Tuesday 1st March, KO - 3pm

04/02/05 - Hurricanes back on the scoresheet, but still not enough against Pro Evo

Despite captain Mike Day getting on the score-sheet, it was too little too late. 2 goals (Luke and Day) in the last 5 mins was not enough as it ended in a 5-2 defeat. See Match Reports.

03/02/05 - Hurricanes' crap attack

Crap Attack left Kingston Lane with all 3 points todays with a convincing 3-0 win. See Match Reports.

20/01/05 - Norfolk take all the points

Ultimate Hurricanes went down to a fourth successive defeat today after losing by 3 goals to 2 against Norfolk Enchants. Signs of improvement were there, meaning the Hurricanes will soon pick up points. For more info see Match Reports.

10/01/05 - Freak injury blow for Hurricanes

Hurricanes midfielder Phil Green has been ruled out of action for up to a month following a freak foot injury. He is said to have collapsed after a training run and fell into the fireplace, breaking his little toe on his right foot. As the Hurricanes are in such a mess at the moment with results not going their way recently, manager Day was not amused. He said "Green is one of our better players, but falling into fireplaces is not big, nor clever. Fair enough, he was returning from a training run, but to collapse afterwards indicates to me that he can't hack the pace of the Brunel Intra-mural League 2." Whether Green will fit straight back into the starting line-up after his recovery remains to be seen.

13/12/04 - Storm brewing in Hurricanes camp

Following the disastrous run of form the Hurricanes are currently experiencing, Phil Green has made a public outburst directed towards manager Mike Day. Green slams Day's man-managment and motivational skills, saying he feels he is the man to take over the job. Day quickly replied that the job is Green's if he wants it, and he is only carrying on as he feels he has the backing of the fans. After Green's non-appearance at the OC game, it remains to be seen if this is just a storm in a tea-cup. As we speak, Green has still not returned to training.

12/12/04 - Third defeat on the trot

Ultimate Hurricanes lost their third on the spin on Friday. They had no idea how to handle a lively OC side and were comfortably beaten. For more info see Match Reports.

3/12/04 - Hurricanes fall to second defeat in 2 days

The Ultimate Hurricanes lost again this afternnon, going down 2-0 the SU. After a lively start by the Hurricanes, the fitness of the SU told and they saw out the victory fairly comfortably. For more info see Match Reports.

2/12/04 - Hurricanes stumble against Jisambard

Ultimate Hurricanes fell to their first defeat this evening after going down 3-2 to Jisambard Massife. The Hurricanes had their chances, being ahead 1-0 and 2-1, but lost out to a dodgy free-kick just before full time was called. For more info see Match Reports.

30/11/04 - Busy week ahead for the Ultimate Hurricanes

The Hurricanes will be involved in 2 games this week, trying to catch up a backlog of fixtures after missing the first 2 weeks of games. The first game will be aginst Isambard Massife on Thursday 2nd Dec, KO 5pm, then the day after (Friday 3rd Dec) they will be playing Students Union, KO 1pm. Get down to Kingston Lane to cheer them on.

28/11/04 - Kwesi refused squad number.

Original member of the team Kwesi Ofahri - Quaah has been refused a place in the squad after he failed a drugs test. Mike Day has stated 'Kwesi Ofahri-Quaah was a target (for testing), but there were some signals over the weeks. We felt now and again that he had some strange behaviour, sometimes he was happy, sometimes not so happy, sometimes involved in the group, sometimes isolated, arriving late a few times, not coming in at other times. He was injured when nobody knows how or when." Craig Baker has also been denied a squad number after being considered too curly.

24/11/04 - Ultimate Hurricanes win first ever game.

The Ultimate Hurricanes got off to a flying start winning their first ever game 5-0 against Wing on a Prayer. Goals coming from Neil Medler (2), Joe Hickerton and James Fox (2). For more info see Match Reports.
